Product Description

100-150 Amp Intelligent 12V Heavy Duty Split Charge Relay Kit

For Battery Banks of 220AHr and above

Inverters of 1000W ( 1kW) and above

For High Powered Amplifiers equal to or exceeding 800 Watts

or Multiple Amplifier Sound Systems of a Combined Rating of 800 Watts or more

High Powered Winch Applications

A suitable Intelligent Voltage Sensing Split Charging System for batteries of 45 - 220 A/Hrs

The Charging Circuit consists of a high quality, heavy duty automotive 200 amp Contactor with 100 amp fuses and 25mm cable

The kit is on offer to include everything as standard and includes all cabling, Intelligent Electronics, fuse holders, connectors, 200A Contactor with 900A Surge capability, convoluted conduit,, self tapping screws, earthing bolt, washers, nut etc. to create a professional, extremely safe and high quality split charging system

3 x A4 sheets of Comprehensive instructions and wiring diagrams are also included

Enhanced TIMED Intelligent Operation: -

Fully automatic charging of the secondary / auxiliary battery; - no alternator connection or trigger wire required

Switches on: > 13.55V

Switches off at < 12.9 volts

.....but must remain below this for more than 10 seconds

This enables the relay to distinguish between a voltage drop caused by the initial switching and charging of a heavily depleated leisure battery at low revs

or the switching of heavy loads such as inverters, amplifiers, winches etc, as opposed to the gradual fall in voltage at engine shut down

This prevents rapid switching heard as a buzzing noise when the relay contacts are opening and closing hundreds of times a minute

hence, improving charging and preventing relay contact wear and overheating from arcing and extending the usefull working life of the system

Should you flatten the leisure battery then the vehicle battery will remain charged allowing you to restart the engine !

Only requires:

A fused positive supply from the starting battery

A fused positive supply from the leisure battery

An Earth connection to the starting battery negative terminal

No External trigger wire required!
